Keter
כֶּתֶר
Crown
Above the head
A crown that decrees · A crown that encircles
Adam Kadmon
The undifferentiated will that worlds should be
Ratzon haklali ha’poshet — a simple, commanding orientation that there shall be creation. Its inner delight stays concealed; what is revealed is the drive to express. Keter-Adam is the crown that projects sovereignty over a realm.
Chavah Kadmonah
The delight that there should be someone to know
Here the essence is ta’anug pnimi in relationship itself — the pleasure not only that worlds should be, but that there should be a beloved other who can know, answer and dwell with the Infinite. Not to emanate, but to accompany. Keter-Chavah is the crown that encircles in embrace.
